Koggala House is a new boutique hotel villa on the banks of tranquil Koggala Lake, close to the Galle Fort heritage site on the southern coast of Sri Lanka. It has been built in the old Dutch-colonial style with a contemporary touch. It has a central living area and four bedrooms, constructed as connected but separate buildings. It can be rented as a “whole villa” sleeping eight or as stand-alone double rooms. The large swimming pool also has a shallow “wallowing” pool.

BEDROOMS
There are four separate villas and all are the same size – 60 M2 including the 15M2 verandah. All have a view of Koggala Lake and are built so that they can be rented as separate units or together as a complete 4-unit property. The four villas are connected to a central living area that has a fully equipped kitchen and an indoor/outdoor living area.
Each villa has a king size bed, a wardrobe and a separate bathroom. Each is equipped with a computer table, tea & coffee making facilities and a fridge stocked with drinks and snacks. Additional sofa beds are available upon request.

Equipped with a King size bed, modern ensuite bathroom, walk-in wardrobe, mosquito net, air conditioning and fan, indoor/outdoor verandah with casual seating, indoor soft-seating, computer table, satellite TV, mini fridge, tea and coffee making facilities and a safe. Includes an outdoor shower in a spacious, private walled garden.
Deluxe Villa With Bathtub (x2)
Equipped with a King size bed, modern ensuite bathroom with bathtub, walk-in wardrobe, mosquito net, air conditioning and fan, indoor/outdoor verandah with casual seating, indoor soft-seating, computer table, mini fridge, tea and coffee making facilities and a safe.

DINING
Modern kitchen equipped to prepare local and international dishes. Breakfast is included and there is an a-la-carte menu for lunch and dinner. All meals prepared by our internationally experienced chef.

Koggala House is a recently built boutique hotel villa on the banks of tranquil Koggala Lake on the south coast of Sri Lanka. The house is situated in a quiet and peaceful rural area surrounded by rice paddy, cinnamon plantations and coconut trees but it is only a ten minute drive to the beach in a local tuk-tuk or taxi. The nearest beach is Kabalana, a wide stretch of beautiful clean white sand renowned for its surfing and safe swimming. The famous Sri Lankan stick fishermen are nearby. The Galle Fort heritage site is 15 kilometres west and the huge sandy bay and colourful fishing boats of Weligama are 15 kilometres east. The Whale watching at Mirissa is a short drive along the coast.
Close to the Southern Highway it is easy to get to Koggala House from the international airport by air-conditioned taxi or by seaplane directly onto the lake. Tours can be arranged to see the blue whales at Mirissa, safaris to various national parks or a cultural trip through mountainous tea plantations to the religious sites in the north.
GETTING THERE
There are many ways to get to Koggala House and most are quite easy due to the central location close to the Highway. Let us know your preference and we will be able to assist.
Take a Seaplane from Colombo (at extra cost)
The seaplane lands on Koggala Lake close to the villa and a transfer can be arranged by car or minibus (15-20 minutes) or by boat (10 minutes).
Shuttle Service from the Airport (at extra cost)
A private taxi or minibus will meet you at the airport and bring you directly to the villa. It takes about two hours but depends on the traffic and time of day.
Take a Train (for the adventurous)
From Galle take the train to Matara and alight at Kataluwa Junction station. From there take a tuk-tuk to the villa.
