Welcome to Tirta Nila Beach House, our gorgeous holiday home situated right beside the sea in the village of Candidasa on Bali's picturesque east coast. Our four-bedroom villa is a world away from the traffic jams, crowded beaches and frenetic nightlife of the tourist hubs of south Bali. Here, we offer you a very different, peaceful alternative in a part of the island less touched by modernity. Tirta Nila is perfect if you’re seeking privacy, or if you want to take life at your own leisurely pace. It’s also a great choice if you are looking to have a relaxing family holiday.

You can also look forward to being pampered by our treasured team of staff. Their genuine enthusiasm and warmth is charming and unpretentious. Attentive to your every need, they are quietly efficient but never intrusive, and we think you’ll be amazed by the seriously delicious home-cooked meals that come out of the kitchen.

We have lovingly decorated our beach house with aquamarine-ocean-themed paintings and cushions, timeworn turquoise furnishings and – we hope you’ll agree – some creative splashes of imagination. We know you will enjoy the private swimming pool, your very own elevated beach with direct access to the sea, and our beautifully manicured gardens dotted with water features. Play volleyball in the soft golden sand; snorkel in the clear waters of the sheltered lagoon immediately in front of the property; or relax poolside, where you will be cooled by gentle sea breezes. Furthermore, you will have the opportunity to explore a whole new side of Bali, from the cultural wonders of ancient villages, to the natural beauty of the rice terraces, mountains, valleys and beaches.

VILLA LAYOUT

Tirta Nila comprises three conjoined pavilions housing four bedrooms over two levels. The main pavilion consists of a living/dining room, media room and two kitchens. A well-manicured lawn extends to the infinity pool and sundeck, while stepping stones lead to an open-air dining pavilion on the water's edge, a man-made beach with a relaxation pavilion, and a sea-front terrace with steps leading down into the water. The two master bedrooms are located adjacent to the living room, one on the ground floor and one upstairs, with the two remaining bedrooms set to the back of the property; all have sea views.

Indoor Living Areas
With high vaulted roofs, and floor-to-ceiling sliding doors that open directly to the garden, the pool, the cool breezes and the glorious sea views, Tirta Nila’s spacious living and dining room is comfortably furnished with upholstered sofas and a teak dining table for 10, adjacent to a fully equipped western kitchen. The doors can also be closed for air-conditioned or fan-cooled comfort.

Furnished with a comfy segmented sofa, the air-conditioned media room is equipped with a 55-inch international-channel TV and a Blu-ray DVD player.

Outdoor Living Areas
Bordered by a timber deck furnished with sun loungers, the 15-metre infinity swimming pool is perched above a private man-made beach with direct access into the sea. At each end of the beach is a relaxation pavilion, one is elevated above the water for outdoor dining and entertaining, while the other is a ‘bale bengong’, or daydreaming pavilion, positioned beside a volleyball court.

Along the entire property seafront is a beautiful stone terrace with sun loungers and umbrellas, which sit above the water offering uninterrupted ocean and coastal views. From here, stone steps provide access into the sea.

BEDROOMS

Upstairs Master
The upstairs master suite is accessed via a private staircase directly from the living and dining area. Furnished with a king bed, it has a wraparound balcony, a walk-in wardrobe, and a luxurious ensuite bathroom fitted with a designer bathtub.

Downstairs Master
The downstairs master sits directly below and offers immediate access to the gardens and swimming pool from a large wraparound terrace. Furnished with a king-size bed and fitted with a walk-in wardrobe, its ensuite bathroom leads to an open-air rain shower within a private courtyard.

Guest Bedrooms
The guest bedrooms are located in their own private section of the villa, with each room having separate access to either a hallway or a stairway. Both have king beds (one of which converts to twins), and ensuite bathrooms, and both are blessed with sea views from their balcony or terrace. The upstairs room is bordered on one side by a bamboo hedge, which gives it a jungle feel. The downstairs bathroom leads to a private garden courtyard with an outdoor rain shower.

STAFF

The staff at Tirta Nila Beach House are a friendly tight-knit team who will do their very best to ensure that all your needs are fulfilled. By getting to know these lovely people you will be privileged to gain insights into local traditions and culture.

Villa manager
Tirta Nila’s friendly manager, Gusti, is responsible for the overall operation of the villa. His job is to oversee and coordinate the staff and property and to assist guests during their stay.

Cooks
The villa’s skilled cook and her assistant are trained in local and international cuisine and are in charge of the market shopping and preparation of all guest meals. They will happily prepare dishes from the villa’s suggestion menu, as well accommodating special requests and dietary requirements. They will also serve you at mealtimes.

Villa attendant
The villa’s housekeeper will attend daily to all cleaning and tidying requirements at the villa.

Garden and pool
A gardener and a pool maintenance man attend to Tirta Nila’s lush gardens and swimming pool.

Security
Tirta Nila is kept safe and secure at night by a security guard.

DINING

You are most welcome to take advantage of Tirta Nila’s well-equipped kitchen. However, you’re on holiday, so why not just sit back, relax and enjoy some delicious home-cooked meals prepared by the villa’s highly accomplished cook.

You will be offered a suggestion menu to make ordering easier, and you can also chat with the cooks if there are other specific dishes that you would like to try. Meals are generally served ‘family style’, where everyone shares dishes, as opposed to ordering individually. Food intolerances, special diets and children’s meals can all be catered for, and the cook will, of course, adjust the seasoning of dishes to suit different palates. The villa also has a barbecue on site.

Grocery shopping will be done by the staff at local markets and supermarkets. All groceries and beverages are charged at market price (plus a 20% handling fee which is subject to service and tax at the prevailing rate). Guests will be requested to provide grocery money in advance, and the staff will keep receipts for reference. To give staff time to shop, it is a good idea to plan meals the evening before.

FAMILIES

Our team of friendly staff at Tirta Nila will make youngsters feel as welcome as adults, they are very happy to assist with children during the daytime when parents are present, and having these willing helpers on hand will give you the flexibility to do your own exploring beyond the villa grounds (full-time babysitting incurs a small extra cost).

Although this is a great villa for families, toddlers will need to be carefully supervised around the swimming pool and seafront areas. Kids will love the lawn and the man-made sandy beach, which is set up for volleyball. If it happens to be a rainy day, the villa is well equipped with an abundance of children’s DVDs, books, board games and toys, while the media room provides extra space for kids to hangout. At low tide, older kids will enjoy snorkelling in the clear waters of the lagoon directly in front of the villa.

Our fully-equipped kitchen allows you to prepare meals for fussy young eaters or babies with ease, but the staff will also be very happy to do this for you – just talk through your requirements and meal schedules with the villa manager or the cooks and they will take care of the rest.
