Villa Ambra

Villa Ambra has 45 metres of beach frontage, and each of its five bedrooms has expansive and unimpeded sea views. A unique ambience that combines total relaxation with utter luxury and comfort.

Living areas are beautifully aligned to the beach, the sea and the sky. There really is room to move and to breath in the sea air, and the fantastic staff ensure that our guests lack nothing.

As Villa Ambra’s owners, we stay in the villa several months of the year. That makes a real difference. We have high expectations of comfort and practicality. Furniture, fittings, fixtures – not only have to look good, they have to be genuinely comfortable and they have to function the way they are meant to. We make sure they do, and our guests benefit as a result. Most importantly, our divine staff look after us, and will look after you, superbly.

All five bedrooms have ocean views and are each completely different in design and ambience. Each has its own en-suite bathroom, individually designed and furnished. There is a large sitting room on the ground floor and another upstairs. Both are open to sea breezes. The dining room, which seats ten, is air-conditioned, but has French doors which can be flung open instead. There is a home cinema with high definition projector and wide screen. Expansive gardens and lawn extend right to the beach.

The beach frontage is 45 metres. You simply step off the grass and on to the sand. There are two interconnected pools. The larger infinity pool totals 100 square metres, while the children’s pool is 21 square metres and only 60 cm deep. You can enjoy the garden jacuzzi which is large enough for eight adults. There are very comfortable lounging and dining areas right at the edge of the beach, as well as a shady bale to relax in. Both provide unobstructed ocean and sunset views.

POOL

The main infinity pool measures 20 x 5 metres for a total of 100 square metres. The smaller pool of 21 square metres, and with a maximum depth of 60 centimetres, is great for children but also fun for adults to splash around in. At the end of the main pool, very near the beachfront, is a jacuzzi which is designed for the enjoyment of up to eight adults.

BEDROOMS

Villa Ambra has five air-conditioned double bedrooms, four with king-sized beds, and the fifth with a queen-sized. Each has an ensuite bathroom with bathtub as well as shower. All five bedrooms have ocean and river estuary views.

DINING

Villa Ambra is fortunate to have three highly skilled chefs, who provide an eclectic menu selection offering Western, authentic Indonesian, and other Asian cuisine. Their Thai food is particularly awesome. On the other hand, if you just want a burger, they’ll make it themselves from a piece of steak, they’ll make the sesame bun, and they’ll make triple-cooked hand-cut fries à la Heston Blumenthal. The choice is yours!

We want you to feel as comfortable in our villa as you would if it were your own.

That means you choose what food, soft drinks, beers, wines and spirits you want to enjoy, you set a budget, and you give your butler the money to cover your shopping. Your butler arranges your purchases from local markets, wholesalers, and delicatessens, etc. There is a 15% handling fee for any shopping we do on your behalf.

If its available in Bali, Villa Ambra can source it – from caviar and foie gras to Canadian or European live lobsters to great Australian waggyu and fine wines from all over the world. Its your choice!

However, the culinary experience is not limited to the suggested menus. You are actively encouraged to spend time with the Villa Manager and chefs and develop a menu which reflects your own particular tastes. There is no premium or surcharge for the preparation of your meals. Please be aware that government regulations mean that villas may not directly sell food and drink. So if you would like to have a meal and a few drinks on the day of your arrival, it is essential that you ask us to buy in whatever you want before you arrive.

STAFF

To ensure your total comfort, Villa Ambra has 19 Balinese staff at your disposal who are managed by the Villa Manager. They are unobtrusive and discreet, but very friendly, attentive, and helpful.

CARS & DRIVERS

Complimentary use of the owners’ two personal 5-seater MPVs and drivers is provided for up to 10 consecutive hours per day each, 6 days per week. Fuel is chargeable. The Nissan Serena HWS were bought new in 2013 and 2014 and offer comfort and convenience with their electric sliding doors.

ENTERTAINMENT

Each bedroom has its own 37 inch LCD television screen with satellite TV programming. Guests’ music can be played through our Jambox speakers. There is a large, private cinema with HD projector and a library of popular DVDs. A tennis court with all-weather surface and floodlights, and a selection of fitness equipment, is shared with the other four villas on the estate.

SPA

A massage table is situated in a bale next to the upstairs sitting area. All the usual treatments are available, such as manipeds, facials, massages etc., at prices a fraction of what you would pay in a 5-star hotel.

Yoga classes can also be arranged with experienced professionals.

EVENTS

- Maximum number of guests: 35 seated or 35 for cocktails.
- Curfew: 11 pm for live bands, DJs or amplified music.
