Villa Nandana

Nandana means ‘paradise’ in Sanskrit, and this luxurious four-bedroom private villa truly lives up to its name. Surrounded by the spectacular beauty of the Andaman coast, Nandana feels a million miles away from the tourist crowds, yet it’s just a 30-minutes drive from Phuket airport.

At Nandana, discerning families and groups can savour days that unfold with strolls on the endless sands of near-deserted Natai Beach, dips in the 20-metre pool and vivid sunsets over the sea. Enjoy a workout in the villa’s private gym, followed by a soothing massages in the spa, or relax in the majesty of the living room with its floor-to-ceiling windows and dramatically pitched timber ceiling. A cosier area, with a TV lounge and indoor dining, lies near the modern kitchen, while the expansive pool terrace, beachfront lawn and dining sala offer some relaxing alfresco alternatives – all with fabulous views. Each room has an opulent aura with eye-catching art and extensive use of natural materials, including marble, wood and stone.

Nandana’s three ensuite guest bedrooms are each spacious, comfortable retreats, while the poolside master suite offers sea views and a large marble bathtub overlooking a lovely walled garden for an extra dash of romance.

The villa is staffed with a chef and housekeeper who are on hand all day to prepare meals and keep everything clean and tidy, while a villa manager is on-call to assist with transport, excursions, restaurant bookings, spa treatments and golf tee-off times.

The area surrounding Villa Nandana offers a true getaway from hectic modern life, with many natural wonders to discover including the steep karst islands of Phang Nga Bay, the Similan islands, jungle parks, waterfalls and tranquil rural landscapes of towering coconut palms and water buffalo.

VILLA LAYOUT

Villa Nandana’s living areas and bedrooms are arranged in a series of pavilions. The generous living room is at the heart of the villa in a central pavilion, with the pool terrace and lawn extending towards the beach. A pavilion housing the indoor dining area and TV room sits off to the side, with the kitchen behind it, while an open-air dining sala near the pool offers fine sea views. The sea-view master suite is at the opposite end of the pool, while the spa room, gym and three more bedrooms are towards the rear of the villa. Every room is at ground-floor level with the exception of one guest bedroom, which sits above the spa room and gym.

INDOOR LIVING

At the heart of Villa Nandana is a sophisticated living area; a welcoming room in subtle earth tones set under a vaulted timber ceiling and furnished with four sofas and a bar/entertaining area. Floor-to-ceiling windows overlook a reflecting pool at the back, and slide open at the front to connect the room to the terrace and pool. In a separate pavilion to one side is an open-plan room housing a dining table for eight and a cosy TV lounge with a home theatre system. Behind is the villa’s modern kitchen with a large black granite island and a Smeg oven and range. The villa’s stylish gym and spa are set beside one another on the ground floor. The gym has a good range of fitness equipment and a large flat-screen TV, while the spa has two treatment beds, Bose speakers and a luxurious bathroom.

OUTDOOR LIVING

The 20-metre swimming pool forms the focal point of Villa Nandana’s outdoor space, surrounded by sand-washed terracing and with a stretch of coconut-palm shaded lawn between the pool and beach. A dining sala and barbecue entertaining area are set at the corner of the pool, with a round dining table large enough to seat 12. The sala is cooled with a ceiling fan – along with the sea breezes – and outdoor speakers are installed to help set the mood. A lily pond connects the villa’s entrance to the main living area while manicured tropical gardens with palm and frangipani trees flow between the various pavilions.

BEDROOMS

Villa Nandana’s four bedrooms are each bright, elegant retreats with flat-screen TVs, wardrobes and luxurious ensuite bathrooms. Every bedroom has ceiling fans and air conditioning, with sliding glass doors that open to a balcony, garden or terrace.

Master Bedroom
With fantastic sea views, this king-bedded poolside room will suit those who like to be at the heart of the action. Sliding glass doors open to the pool terrace, while a study desk and armchair add to the comfort of the room. Its ensuite bathroom is a showcase of luxury, featuring a walk-in wardrobe and a double bathtub encased in marble, with picture windows that offer views to a private walled garden.

Guest bedroom 1
The only upper-floor room at the villa, this king-bedded retreat is the most private of the villa’s bedrooms. Floor-to-ceiling glass doors open to a private balcony, and an armchair and study desk offer added comfort. Its ensuite bathroom is beautifully fitted with a walk-in wardrobe, grey terrazzo double vanity set and a rain shower in cool black slate.

Guest bedroom 2 & 3
These two mirror-image bedrooms are on the ground floor near the gym and spa. Both offer flexibility with king-sized beds that can be converted to twin beds if preferred, as well as spacious ensuite bathrooms with rain showers. Sliding glass doors open to a tropical garden patio.

STAFF

A stay at Nandana is made all the more special thanks to the care and attention of the villa staff. A full-time chef and a housekeeper assure five-star service with characteristic Thai friendliness blended with professional hospitality training. And your villa manager, whilst not based on site, is always available by phone.

Villa Manager
Your English-speaking villa manager is just a phone call away and ready to assist with any guest needs including booking taxi service, tours or activities beyond the villa.

Chef
The villa’s full-time chef is available to prepare all the daily meals. Choose from the villa suggestion menu, which is focused on Thai cuisine with some Asian and Western choices. The chef is open to accommodate any special requests or dietary requirements.

Housekeeping
A full-time housekeeper looks after all the cleaning and tidying duties at the villa, and also assists the chef with meal service.

DINING

Dining at Villa Nandana is a cultural journey in itself, with the chance to explore the delights of Thai cuisine under the expert guidance of your full-time chef.

The villa’s extensive suggestion menu includes a choice of delicious Thai dishes that can be tailored to suit your group’s tastes. Choose from a tom yum prawn soup, laab moo (pork salad with chili) or a green chicken curry for some fiery flavours, and, to enjoy the freshest tastes of the region, be sure to ask the chef about any seasonal or local specialties. There’s also a limited selection of Asian and Western dishes available, together with a list of wines to accompany your meals.

Continental breakfast is included in the villa rate and the chef will source provisions for all other meals charged at market price plus a 20% handling fee and a government tax, with a minimum shopping fee of THB 750. Guests will be requested to provide money for groceries in advance, and receipts will be kept for reference. To ensure the chef has sufficient time to prepare, guests are encouraged to plan meals at least a day in advance.

The well-equipped kitchen is also available to those who would prefer to self-cater. However, it’s more than likely that the gleaming appliances will remain untouched by guests, given the talents of the villa chef. That said, it’s worth sneaking into the kitchen now and then to watch the chef prepare those delicious Thai dishes!

The large living room and TV room offer cool and comfy spots to retreat from the sun, while each of the spacious bedrooms is equipped with a TV, so no need for battles over the remote control!

Families are certain to savour mealtimes at Villa Nandana, too. Whether the kids are excited to try new foods or are the pickiest of eaters, the chef will be pleased to customise dishes to help whet their appetites. Such delicious child-friendly Thai dishes as gai haw bai toey (deep-fried chicken wrapped in pandan leaf), satay gai (grilled chicken on skewers) or pad thai (fried noodles) might even coax the most unadventurous diners to have a taste.

We understand that travel can be cumbersome for families with young children, so a high chair and baby cot are provided free of charge. We can also help arrange hire of other items from reputable local agencies, as well as organise babysitters should mums and dads fancy a night out on the town (extra fees apply).

GYM & SPA

With its own luxurious spa room and gym, Villa Nandana is a haven for health and wellness. Enjoy a holiday workout, or ask us to help hire a yoga teacher or fitness trainer to run some sessions at the villa. The gym is air conditioned with a garden view, and equipped with these items:
