We spent the last 2 nights of our honeymoon here, and I genuinely don't think we have ever felt more relaxed in our entire lives.The hotel is decorated to an extremely high standard. The interior design is beautiful.Staff were very attentive but never intrusive. We ate both nights at the restaraunt and were very impressed. The Sri Lankan curry was obviously excellent but their western food was also extremely tasty.The setting is hard to believe until you have been there. You feel like you have to entire beach to yourself.Would 100% recommend to anyone looking for a peaceful few days in Sri Lanka

My boyfriend and I stayed at Kumu Beach for four nights and it was such a beautiful and relaxing experience from start to finish.Rooms: The rooms were beautifully decorated with perfect lighting (makes a difference!), a luxurious bathroom and a comfortable bed. Having a mini fridge and coffee machine was also a great touch and made the stay even more enjoyable.Staff & Service: Every single member of staff was so welcoming, kind, and attentive. They truly made our stay special, so thank you! Everyone went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable and happy, always with a smile. We also wanted to visit a gym nearby and one of the staff members kindly recommended his own gym and even helped us get access - which we really appreciated.Food/ drink:The food was great and there was a good range. I honestly think we worked our way through most of the menu during our stay as well. And a special mention to the Sri Lankan sweet treats on New Year’s Day - they were amazing. We also loved the happy hour between 5-6pm!Small feedback: My only small suggestion would be the addition of an outdoor gym within the grounds. My partner and I like to stay active and it wasn’t really possible to run on the roads or the beach. I think this would be a great addition, although the hotel is still very relaxing without it. We did also enjoy the yoga classes that were offered ( you do pay).Thank you so much to the whole team - hopefully we’ll see you again in the future!

Kumu Beach was an amazing experience from start to finish. The food was exceptional and very unique, definitely one of the highlights of our stay. The property is very well maintained, and the overall ambience is calm, stylish, and relaxing.The beach access with a stunning ocean view made it even more special. Rooms were clean, nicely arranged, and very comfortable. The staff were fantastic, friendly, attentive, and always ready to help. Overall, a wonderful place for a peaceful and memorable getaway. Highly recommended.

We stayed here for 3 nights, for the price the value and service doesn’t match. Especially comparing this property to other tear drop properties we stayed at during our trip in Sri Lanka. We faced and noticed a number of things (some are not major issues but observations that don’t justify the price we paid)1. When being welcomed the staff didn’t seem to pay much attention and were busy on calls. We were taken into a sitting area and all the cushions and couches were in a mess. 2. The rooms generally were not very well cleaned and even after cleaning on done. I found dirty towels in the room. (We complained and this was sorted out) PHOTO ATTACHED 3. They don’t have continous running hot water for showers. Apparently they have a 25Litre tank for the showers. (They tried to fix this but didn’t really do much)Overall, this hotel needs a deep cleaning and also a thorough training for the staff. We stayed at other boutique 5 star hotels for a similar and slightly cheaper price than this and the service, cleanliness was at a different level.Kumu beach should lower its prices for the service and value they provide.

Kumu Beach is truly a gem — the property is marvelous, the rooms are beautifully designed, and the ocean view is superb. However, what truly made our stay so special was the exceptional hospitality of your team.Everyone was professional, friendly, and always smiling — attentive and ready to assist. The restaurant team went above and beyond to make sure we were pleased, and they certainly succeeded. The food was amazing! During our stay, we celebrated my wife’s birthday, and for a moment, it felt as if we were celebrating among friends.We’ve traveled the world and have been in Sri Lanka for a month now, but the Kumu Beach experience will remain unforgettable.
