Staying at Villa Kalyana for my partner’s 40th birthday was truly one of the most special travel experiences I’ve ever had. We hired the two beachfront villas for a large group of friends and family, and leaving honestly brought me to tears. It felt like home and Beau and Maeya felt like sisters. Saying it exceeded expectations is still an understatement – we were all completely blown away.The villas themselves are impeccable. Every room was luxurious, comfortable, and serviced daily. The flexibility with room configurations made it so easy to accommodate all family types, and extra beds and cots were organised effortlessly. The grounds and shared spaces are divine: shady spots by both pools, beautiful areas to gather and relax, and a playroom the kids absolutely loved. There’s also now a dedicated gym with excellent equipment including a squat rack and treadmill. And the sunrise each morning was simply magical.The team helped me organise everything for our group: my partner’s birthday party, a night out at the markets with transfers, and a half-day boat trip. Rebecca, Maeya, and Beau made it all seamless and stress-free. Beau even helped me keep the group well stocked with snacks, drinks, organising multiple alcohol top-ups 😆. She even pre-stocked our boat trip with ice-cold Changs and Singhas. She really is the ULTIMATE side kick 🫶🏽.The kitchen deserves a special mention - Chef Seri, Chef Na and Chef Chol 🙏🏽 Every single meal was incredible. I highly recommend going with the chef’s selection! Trust me on that one! Dietary needs were handled beautifully – allergies, vegetarian, and kids’ preferences included. I’m vegetarian and was absolutely spoiled: tofu or tempeh in every dish, never an afterthought. Truly some of the best food I’ve ever eaten, and nothing I had after in Thailand compared. The kids were also so well looked after with a daily snack table (pizza, nuggets, chips, fish cakes, etc.) and their own catered dinners. We were all asking for recipes because the cravings were real.Service-wise, Rebecca was amazing during planning. Everything ran through a shared Google Sheet which made organising such a big group incredibly easy. Rebecca was incredibly responsive throughout, making sure everything was perfectly organised for our big group leading up to the trip.Onsite, Maeya and Beau were EXCEPTIONAL – always present in the background, calm, capable, and ready to help without ever being intrusive. Maeya even treated us to delicious iced coffees in the mornings 🤩. These girls are also hilarious and wonderful company and we absolutely adored them. We miss them terribly. Thank-you ladies for just being the BEST.Thank you as well to Joy and Som, who took care of us every day and were so sweet with the kids. From housekeeping to laundry, to a perfectly stocked fridge and snack counter, we truly didn’t have to think about a single thing.We also found the costs extremely reasonable for the quality of food, service, and overall experience. The level of care, organisation, and deliciousness was outstanding.I would trust the Kalyana team with any event and we absolutely plan to return. I cannot recommend this place highly enough. My hot tip: stay longer than five days if you can. We all wish we had.

The place is beautiful, the service is impeccable, the food was great. The real gem though was Rebecca, who was an absolutely incredible wedding planner and partner in planning our event. Trust me!We found Villa Kalyana 18 months ago on a Google search, visited 12 months ago to see the venue for ourselves and celebrated our wedding 2 weeks ago, booking all 3 wings of the resort.It was beyond our wildest dreams! The location and setting is spectacular. From the pools, to the lush green, tropical setting, to the beach. Rain or shine, it manages to be picture perfect (and we had both on our celebration day).The Villas feel luxe and offer enough variations that you can cater to the many different types of guests. We had singles, couples and even families attend ours, and there is a room to suit each type. The public areas are beautifully kept, with an intimate feeling that felt more like a home away from home, rather than a resort.In terms of the staff, Rebecca, Mae and Beau have been with us on this journey from the very first meeting, and they and the whole Kalyana team delivered a seamless experience. Present without being obstructive, their help took away the stress of remotely planning a destination wedding, and when the inevitable bumps in the road came, their boundless professionalism and practiced grace made them so inconsequential that we barely even registered that they had happened at all.A special shout out must go to the kitchen team! In Asia, it can be incredibly difficult to find anywhere that understands food allergies. Among our guests, we had coeliacs, as well as general gluten intolerance, dairy intolerance, nut allergies and a whole raft of other requirements. For the 5 days that we were there, every meal was crafted to be suitable for all guests. There was no drop in quality, or a dish made as an afterthought, it was all delivered with precise planning and care. Very rare.Our wedding and the whole 5 days we were at Villa Kalyana was a relaxing, fun and memorable experience. I am sure my words will not do it justice, but if you do choose to hold your event here, you won't regret it.

The best week of our lives — truly unforgettable! We had our wedding at Villa Kalyana with 45 of our closest family and friends staying onsite, and it was honestly the most magical experience we could have ever imagined. From the moment we arrived, we were blown away — the location is breathtaking, tucked away in a private, tropical paradise right on the beach. The villa itself is beautiful and spacious, perfect for a big group, and every corner felt like a dream.What made it truly special, though, was the incredible team at Villa Kalyana. Rebecca, the villa manager, made everything run seamlessly — calm, kind, organised and so efficient. The attention to detail was unmatched. Beau and Mae were absolute rockstars; nothing was ever too much trouble, and they went out of their way to make every guest feel welcome and cared for. The entire staff felt like family by the end of the week.Our wedding was everything we dreamed of and more — full of laughter, love, and unforgettable moments. We’re still getting messages from our guests saying it was the best wedding they’ve ever been to.We can’t fault a single thing. Villa Kalyana will always hold a very special place in our hearts ♥️
