We have just returned from a wonderful 10 days spent at Villa Mine. The whole villa is exceptional - from the living areas to the stunning surroundings - to say nothing of the wonderful infinity pool with its amazing views. We would have been delighted with this alone, but the whole experience was elevated by the incredible staff who looked after us so well. Sameey, Tharidu and the team clearly wanted us to have a great holiday and nothing was too much for them. Sameey's food was outstanding, both at breakfast and dinner. We holidayed during the Sinhalese New Year and the guys introduced us to the New Year experience with traditional food tasting and games. I cannot thank them enough, they were superb. A huge thank you to them and I would highly recommend this villa. We will return!!!

hree generations of my family stayed at Villa Mine and we had an unforgettable experience. The villa is absolutely stunning, with a beautiful pool, swimmable lake and its walkable to the nearest beach. What made the stay exceptional was the wonderful team who looked after us during our stay. Samey is an amazing chef who cooked us exquisite meals for our stay - we had the best seafood dishes while we were there. He was also so accommodating in cooking meals for the two babies who were travelling with us and was always on had to answer any questions we had about things to do in the area or general questions about the villa. Also , a big shout out to Thari who was also so helpful with everything and was so wonderful with our children. My toddler usually wont go to people she doesn't know but she happily jumped into Thari's arms whenever she could as he was so lovely to her and the other kids. I couldn't recommend Villa Mine enough and would love to return again!

We had an unforgettable experience at this villa! There were 13 of us including small kids, meeting after six years, and this was the perfect place for our holiday.From the moment we arrived, the team took care of every detail and went above and beyond to make our stay special. Sameey, the chef and host, was truly amazing. Every meals he cooked was delicious, fresh, and beautifully presented. Sameey and the team made sure everyone felt welcomed and well looked after throughout our stay. The rest of the crew were incredibly attentive and thoughtful with everything we needed. The rooms were spacious, beautifully designed, and exceptionally comfortable, and the villa setting was stunning. There were plenty of great spaces for everyone to unwind, making it ideal for families and friends alike. Overall, we couldn’t have asked for a better place to celebrate and reconnect. Everything from the service to the food and the ambience was outstanding. We will definitely come back. I highly recommended!

Villa Mine is no doubt a stunning property with beautiful surroundings, but the experience of staying there was disappointing. The warmth and hospitality one usually associates with Sri Lanka were completely missing. There was no proper welcome, and the staff did not come across as courteous or accommodating.What left us most unhappy was the way charges were imposed. Even something as small as placing an extra bedsheet in the living room was billed at an unreasonable rate. Basic services like room cleaning were not provided throughout the stay, which made things quite inconvenient.For the kind of price they charge, you expect transparency, genuine care, and at least some effort to make guests feel comfortable. Unfortunately, the focus here seems to be on the property itself rather than on people’s experience.It’s a beautiful villa, but without hospitable hearts to manage it, the charm fades quickly. Not value for money.

Our 3-night stay was a complete disaster, the villa is remote and secluded. Manager Viky is blatantly money-minded, demanding hefty cash payments while the actual number of guests never exceeded the capacity, in fact there were 3 beds to spare. Cleanliness was nonexistent, staff were untrained and dismissive, and basic hospitality was missing throughout. The property may look good, but both the manager and owners are running a sham at the guests’ expense. A place we will never return to.
