Wijaya Giri is a recently refurbished colonial home in Ahangama, Sri Lanka, that sleeps 12 collectively. The garden house sleeps four in two double en suite bedrooms and has a self-contained open plan kitchen and sitting room. The main house, which has one master suite, two doubles, and a twin, is situated beyond the centrally located swimming pool and has a garden facing terrace, sitting room, dining room, and open place kitchen. The property also boasts a yoga space and meditation platform. Upon arrival, guests can enter the Pool house, which comprises two double bedrooms, an open plan living space, and a galley kitchen. The bedrooms have en suite indoor/outdoor bathrooms with walk-in showers. The main house is an exact extension in style, with high ceilings and mahogany bannisters creating a sense of elegant colonialism. The main living area features two sofas and tall French windows that lead out onto a path to a discreet yoga platform or meditation space. The sitting room and living area are connected to the open-plan kitchen, while a separate laundry room and office are hidden behind tall warehouse pulley doors. The main terrace runs the length of the villa and faces the limited Frangipani-lined garden. The bedrooms include a double bedroom with a 4 poster bed, a twin bedroom with single beds, a large cot, and a small en suite bathroom. The final bedroom is a generous-sized master suite with a King 4 poster bed, a large L-shaped sofa, walk-in wardrobe, and screened-off en suite bathroom.

Rental conditions

Check-in time: 3:00pm - Check-out time: 10:00am - Depending on availability, early/late check-in/-out may be available at no extra charge - A security deposit may be payable upon arrival at the property - Only the specified number of guests listed in the Booking Contract at the time of booking may reside on the premises - The main guest is responsible for the behavior of all guests and visitors at the property during the rental period - Children must be supervised by an adult at all times - Fireworks are prohibited in the property, its garden and the beach close by (if any) - No events are permitted on the premises without the property owner's prior approval - It is compulsory and a condition of booking that you have arranged for adequate travel and medical insurance before traveling to Sri Lanka

Reservation conditions

A 50% deposit is required within 5 working days after availability confirmation - The remaining 50% balance must be paid 65 days prior to arrival - If the arrival date is within 65 days of the date of the booking request the total rental amount is payable as a deposit - All rates are quoted in US Dollars (USD) - Local currency payments are accepted in USD, EUR, GBP, AUD, and SGD - Payments in foreign currencies are subject to currency exchange rate fluctuations and may incur bank and other fees - Additional payment methods (subject to a 2.9% payment processing fee) include VISA, Mastercard, Union Pay, American Express, Google Pay, Apple Pay, and more

Cancellation policy

Any booking modification or cancellation must be sent to [email protected] - Cancellation policy is applied according to property local time - 50% of the total rental amount will be forfeited if the cancellation is made more than 65 days before the start of the rental period - 100% of the total rental amount will be forfeited if cancelling within 1 and 64 days of arrival - Bookings may be amended up to 60 days before the arrival date but will incur a USD 150.00 administration fee for each change made - For no-show: 100% of the total rental amount will be forfeited - Christmas and New Year Period: All payments will be forfeited

Wijaya Giri is truly a wonderful place to stay. The photos online are beautiful but when you get there, the main house, pool house and outside/pool area is even more gorgeous. Not only was the Wajaya Giri an amazing place to stay but my friends and I have so much to say about how great the staff were. Lal, the cook, house keeper/cleaner, security and other staff members were very friendly on arrival and for the whole of our stay. They really couldn’t do enough for us and made our stay soooo easy. They organised everything for us…breakfast, evening meals, lunches and BBQ’s whenever we requested them and they even had massage therapists come over to the house so we all booked in with them. Anything you’d like, just ask and it will magically happen. They really took care of us, small details like mosquito sprays, smoke repellents, mosquito balm for bites, fresh aloe vera and even Ayurvedic medicine to settle the stomach after drinking a bit too much the night before! They even decorated the breakfast table and brought out cake/gifts on our friend’s birthday! They are friendly people and if you treat them with kindness they will repay you a thousand times over. Thank you Wijaya Giri. My friends and I had a wonderful time and it was a gift to meet you. Danni & friends x

I don’t think I have met kinder people in my life. They did everything to make our stay perfect. Lal is an absolute legend! We went with a large group and we were able to relax, unwind and have fun at this most beautiful villa. The rooms are fantastic with good air conditioning and the pool is clean for a good splash around with friends. It’s very close to the beach and nice beachside restaurants. Check out ‘Cactus’ for great smoothies. And ‘Kip’ is 1 min walk and has incredible vegetarian food and drinks. 10/10 😃😃😃😃😃😃😃😃😃😃😃😃😃😃

Location

A short distance to Ahangama, Midigama, Kabbalana, Weligama and Mirissa – make Wijaya Giri an excellent base for keen surfers as well as those looking to see whales and dolphins, the stilt fishermen or take a boat trip on Koggala Lake. Highly recommended to families also who are looking for a separate self-sufficient annexe for 4 people.
